AFTER HOURS
SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
Happening Every Third Tuesday of the Summer Months
The Asheville Museum of History invites you to its first-ever AFTER HOURS Summer Concert Series happening every third Tuesday of the summer months (June, July, and August) from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, with museum doors opening at 5:30 PM.
Each AFTER HOURS concert will feature local musicians who will treat listeners to traditional and contemporary bluegrass and Appalachian mountain music. The lineup for the 2025 summer season is listed below with links to purchase tickets.
Performances will take place on the front porch of the historic Smith-McDowell House, home to the Asheville Museum of History. Friends and families will be able to gather and enjoy the music from the front lawn of the property.
Curated picnic baskets from Finch Grocery are available for pre-sale (see our ticket webpage to purchase). Picnic baskets include one bottle of wine and are available with charcuterie, cold salad, or vegetarian/vegan cold salad options. Purchase of picnic baskets will support the Asheville Museum of History and Finch Grocery as they work to rebuild their location in Biltmore Village.
On the night of each show, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Attendees are also welcome to bring their own food and picnic-style dinner. Seating is limited, so attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets.
Aside from live music, AFTER HOURS will have games and activities for the entire family to enjoy. Additionally, admission to the museum is included with ticket cost. Folks will be able to enjoy the history museum as they would during normal operating hours.
Tickets are $15 for general admission, $10 for museum members, and free for ages 16 and under for each concert. Funds go directly to support the Asheville Museum of History.
